Knoxville Farmers Market

The Knoxville City Council will re-consider the conditionally denied special event application of the Knoxville Farmer’s Market at their next meeting.

Councilman Cal Stephens shared some concerns he has about the market utilizing the square around the courthouse. Stephens objected to the parking and restroom facilities conflicts the market causes the courthouse, and brought up city code that could be used to interpret the farmer’s market as a garage sale, making it subject to more restrictions. City Manager Aaron Adams and others suggested that Auld Park might be a better location to try before reapplying. The meeting will be held at City Hall at 6:15 Monday.
