Making up a game that was rained out last week, the Melcher-Dallas Softball Squad beat Twin Cedars on Wednesday 12-1 in six innings. The Saints scored five runs in the third on an RBI single by Mackenzie Godfrey, a sacrifice fly by Anndee Clark, a passed ball, and a two-run error. Angel Beaty racked up four RBIs on four hits for Melcher-Dallas. Emilie Krpan pitched lights out for The Saints as Twin Cedars managed just two hits off of Krpan, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out seven during her six innings of work. Twin Cedars’ Jensen Hastings ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. She allowed 12 runs in six innings, walked two and struck out four. Bailey Dunkin was 1/3 at the place with an RBI while Shelby Denburger also had a hit for the Sabers. Melcher-Dallas is now 3-1 on the season while Twin Cedars falls to 0-3.
