The Knoxville School met in regular session Monday night and discussed a range of summer business.
The district is currently deciding between two insurance providers, but decided to table the vote on which to approve until their next meeting in order to give board members more time to review the policies. The board also heard presentations on the Knoxville Summer Lunch Program and school nurse activity for the school year. Superintendent Cassie Pearson says the nurse and others assisting with students health do a lot more than many people realize. Board members also voted on a change sharing a reading teacher specializing in dyslexia between North and West Elementary. The change was necessary because of the movement of 2nd graders to West Elementary.
