At the beginning of the season, the Pleasantville Trojan Baseball Team knew it would be able to rely on a pair of seniors on the pitching mound in Zeb Adreon and Nate Sowers.
What Pleasantville Head Coach Sheldon Card didn’t know was that a pair of sophomores would rise to the occasion of pitching a majority of innings for the team and have a large amount of success. Kyle Amendt and Colton Major would go one and two for the Trojans in starts, wins, and innings pitched for the team, and the success of the pair will give Coach Card other options on the mound for when the Trojans start their run through the class 2A postseason. Pleasantville still has games against Southeast Warren and Iowa Christian Academy to round out their regular season, and will start postseason play on Saturday against Davis County.
