Two of the three championships had already been decided. Danny Lasoski and Clint Garner had long since wrapped the respective 410 and 360 titles. The only one that was not yet clinched the 305 race, but Christian Bowman had such a healthy lead on Devin Kline, that most people figured he would clinch anyway. All three made sure to let the fans know who was the car to beat in 2016 as Lasoski, Garner, and Bowman put a slam dunk on their season by not only clinching the titles but winning their respective A-Mains. Bowman led a four-pack of cars to the line that was separated by less than a second. Garner took the lead in the 360 finale and pulled away after the halfway point, and Lasoski after dueling with Craig Dollansky for the first half of the race, had to contend with nephew Brian Brown for the final laps before holding him off. The Enduro and the Lucas Oil Late Model Nationals in September will round the racing season at Knoxville.
