Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey recognized thirteen students for providing the artwork that appears in the “From the Farm to You” calendar that was distributed at the Iowa State Fair, including three from Marion County.
Secretary Northey says the students are helping showcase Iowa agriculture and breakdown the idea that food comes from grocery stores, not from farms. Northey presented the students with a certificate. Among those recognized were Danielle, Rebekah and Josiah Heartsill of Columbia.
