Yesterday marked 300 days until the 2017 Verizon IndyCar Series Iowa Corn 300.
As a part of the year long buildup to the 11th running of the race, Iowa Corn and Iowa Speedway representatives conducted a “Pit Stop” at Smith Fertilizer & Grain near Attica. The Iowa Corn 300 Pit Crew washed the windows of a semi hauling grain to the elevator and handed the driver a dozen lunches for the crew back in the field. Iowa Speedway President Jimmy Small says the partnership between the Iowa Speedway and Iowa Corn is a natural fit. The speedway and Iowa Corn thanked Smith Fertilizer and Grain for their cooperation in hosting the event.
