The Machine that is the PCM Mustangs Football team took to homecoming on Friday after two straight road games.
The Mustangs came in 4-1 on the year with 3 straight district wins to take the driver’s seat in District 6 of Class 2A. The Mustangs were taking on a Chariton team that came in winless on the year after getting thumped the week before to Centerville 48-0. The Mustang offense came into Fridays match up running on all cylinders, but this week it was the players that don’t get all the regular touches that would show up for the Mustangs. Sophomore Brayton Van Dyke would get the scoring started early in the first quarter on a long touchdown catch and run and Junior Noah Anderson and Sophomore Jarron Trausch both would add two touchdowns piece to lead the Mustangs to a 49-0 homecoming win. Even the offensive line would get in on the scoring as Senior James Snodgrass would get himself a TD on a play that he apparently designed. The Mustangs move to 5-1 overall and 4-0 in the district as they head to Eddyville-Blakesburg-Freemont for their last regular season road game of the season on October 7th.
