Casey's Site
A final decision regarding a potential Casey’s General Store near downtown Pella will be made by the Pella City Council Tuesday.

They will consider the fate of a planned unit development zoning ordinance that, if approved, allows the convenience store chain to build on the corner of Main and Union Streets.

No official public hearing is scheduled, but residents can speak during the regularly scheduled open forum at the beginning of the meeting, as they did two weeks ago.

If built, Casey’s new store would replace three others in town, and as part of the ordinance, those buildings would have to be repurposed once a new store is open.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Pella Public Safety Complex.
