Two cars collided Wednesday morning in Knoxville when one failed to yield.

A vehicle attempting turn onto Lincoln was struck by another driving on Lincoln. The man driving the turning vehicle was transported by ambulance to Knoxville Hospital and Clinics and was later cited for failing to yield, according to Chief Dan Losada. Knoxville police officers directed traffic at the scene until the injured man was transported by Knoxville Fire and Rescue to the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics and tow trucks could clear the vehicles from the roadway.
