An Oskaloosa man was arrested on a warrant this week for an alleged assault in Pella.

Joshua West, 37, is accused of punching a man in the back of the head and knocking him unconscious at the Lamppost Lounge on September 25th, according to court documents. Police say that victim sustained a laceration that required eight staples to close and he was knocked out for over five minutes.

West faces a charge of willful injury causing bodily injury, a class D felony. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 14th.
