Knoxville gained plenty of yards and scored plenty of points, but the Panthers could not stop North Polk and the Comets downed the Panthers last night in a game heard live on AM 1320 and 95.3 KNIA 44-27. Jacob Zuck had a career night running 20 times for 116 yards and a touchdown and completing 15/25 passes for 223 yards and two scores, but it was the Comets 403 yards total offense that did in Knoxville. Coach Eric Kellar told KNIA/KRLS Sports it came down to his team’s inability to stop the opposition. Trent Davis hauled in six passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns for the Panthers who drop to 1-6 on the season and 0-5 in district play. Knoxville comes home for the final time next Friday to play Bondurant-Farrar.
