The top-ranked Pella Lady Dutch are Little Hawkeye Conference cross-country champions!
Pella scored 51 points to beat second place Indianola by 11. Pella Christian had an incomplete team score.
Individually, Tess Roorda was Pella’s top finisher in fourth place, Kelsey Blommers took seventh, and Mikayla Kruse, Caroline McMartin and Ciara Buchheit all also finished in the top 15.
In the boys race, Pella finished fourth and Pella Christian was sixth.
Nick Bernhagen took seventh and Joshua Van Dusseldorp finished 13th for the Little Dutch. The Eagles’ Grant Dunsbergen was right behind in 14th.
The Pella and Pella Christian squads now have 10 days to prepare for state qualifying meets next Thursday, October 20th, in Pella.
