The Rural History Buffs of Marion County event “Tall Tales and True Stories of Rural Marion County” will be held at the Peace Tree Brewery in the new Root Cellar room.

Scheduled storytellers will share the history of Marion County as seen through their own eyes and attendees will be encouraged to share their own stories with the group. History Buffs President Dustin DeMoss tells KNIA/KRLS the county’s history needs to be passed on and remembered. DeMoss says the history of Iowa families and our ancestors surrounds us every day. The event will be held Monday, November 14, from 7-9 p.m and is free to attend.
