The Oskaloosa Indians gave No. 2 Pella their closest game of the season to kick off the Class 3A Playoffs.
Fending off their pesky rivals, Pella pulled away late to win 34-14, as heard live on 92.1 KRLS.
In a game extended by 25 penalties and numerous delays, the Little Dutch held off numerous Osky attempts to close the gap.
Head Coach Jay McKinstrey tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he was happy to see how the Dutch overcame 140 negative yards.
Pella was led by four touchdowns passing from Nick Finney, eight catches, 133 yards, and two scores from Ryan Van Wyk, and a dagger touchdown from Avery Van Zee to ice it in the 4th quarter.
It’s now 38 wins in a row for Pella, who hope to make their third straight trip to the UNI Dome next week at Solon.
