Both Pleasantville and Melcher-Dallas girls’ basketball teams will play their second game of the season, while the boys start their seasons tonight as the Marion County rivals face off in Melcher.

The Trojan girl’s squad won the matchup last season with a score of 57-34, and hasn’t lost to the Saints since 2012. The Melcher-Dallas girls squad is coming off a one win season and having graduated their top two scorers. Both teams come into the game at 0-1.

On the boys side of things, both squads will play in their season opener, the Trojans bring back star guard Brady Elder who averaged 22.5ppg last season, but lose their next top four scorers to graduation and injury.

The game tonight can be heard live on KNIAKRLS.com via the KNIA3 stream, with pregame at 5:45 and tipoff of the girls game at 6pm, and the boys at approximately 7:30.
