A Pella Christian High School student helped lead a big boost for charity leading up to the holidays.
International student Eric Qian tells KNIA/KRLS News he held a clothing drive at the school, which was inspired by his participation in the Iowa Youth Congress.
“We are basically an organization that’s trying to solve some real issues around Iowa that concerns youth,” he says.
A competition was made out of the effort, Qian says, which provided a big pile of clothes.
“I told them that the grade that donates the most will get free cookies,” he says.
