The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is accepting public comment as they get set to update the Des Moines River Regulation Manual.

The document includes the Water Control Manual for both Saylorville Lake and Lake Red Rock. The updated scope of the project consists of facilitating all steps required to reevaluate and update the regulation manuals for Lake Red Rock and Saylorville Lake on the Des Moines River.

Chief of the Hydrology Branch for the Rock Island District Kevin Landwehr tells KNIA/KRLS News those manuals provide guidance for direction, operation and management of water storage.
