Since a season opening loss, the Central College softball team has now ripped off 11 wins in a row. The Dutch knocked off Hamline of Minnesota 8-0 in five innings yesterday morning in Tucson before holding on for a 5-4 win over Trinity of Texas.
Emily Wilson went three-for-five on the day with two doubles, a homer, three runs and three RBI.
Karly Olson tossed a complete game shutout in the opener, striking out five and walking one to improve to 3-0 on the season. Mariah Fritz earned the win in the nightcap, also striking out five with one walk. She allowed four runs, but just one was earned due to two Dutch errors. Annie DeVries got the final four outs for her second save.
Central will play Wisconsin-LaCrosse this morning before battling Hamline again this afternoon.
