The Knoxville Public Library’s Capital Campaign Kick-Off event will take place tomorrow afternoon.

The event will begin at 1 p.m. in front of the library. Knoxville Mayor Brian Hatch as well as representatives from the library will be speaking during the event. The library will be making a special announcement during the kick-off. Knoxville Public Library Board of Trustees and campaign co-chair, Harv Sprafka tells KNIA/KRLS News school gets out before the event so children will be there helping the library unveil the plans for the expansion. Sprafka adds, the library hopes family members, senior citizens and anyone that uses the library can attend and help celebrate the kick-off. The library project will expand library space, services and access to technology for the residents of Knoxville and rural Marion County and will allow the Knoxville Public Library to meet the growing demands of increased library usage.
