A group in Pella aims to test their endurance to raise funds for a cause on the downtown Pella square.
The 2nd annual Tour de Toren begins at 4 p.m. on Friday, June 2nd and continues for 24 hours until June 3. Wes Chaplin says a group of bike riders will pedal on stationary bikes throughout the day to raise funds for Bethany Christian Services. Chaplin says the idea stemmed from the AFRAID bike rike the Pella Cycling Club participated in for five years to also fundraise for Bethany, and the Tour de Toren came out of a desire to make the event more visible locally.
