A hail damage meeting was held Monday following severe storms this past Thursday that damaged crops in southern Marion County.
ISU Extension and Outreach Field Agronomist Rebecca Vittetoe tells KNIA/KRLS News the meeting was held to help local farmers make good, educated decisions regarding their fields instead of an emotional quick decision they might regret later. During the meeting Vittetoe as well as other Extension Office Representatives informed farmers on how to evaluate plants for survivorship, what options are available, and how to look at the current crop situation.
