As we continue our look back to the best moments of the academic year at Pella Christian High School, we look back to the fall where one Eagles’ cross country runner aimed to prove he was among the best in Iowa.

Grant Dunsbergen qualified for back-to-back appearances in 2015 and 2016. He told KNIA/KRLS Sports after last fall’s meet about his preparations getting ready for state.

“We just tried to keep it normal. I was more focused on what I wanted to accomplish, but I had a great group of guys from the team who came out to run with me all week and we just tried to keep it normal.”

Dunsbergen finished 15th in Class 2A.
