Local author Beverly Graves will visit the Pella Public Library to showcase her new book.

She will have a signing today from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. Graves will read from The Adventures of Sofie Q, a collection of stories about her great niece. Graves enlisted the help of local artist Scott Van Den Berg to illustrate the cover and pages. Van Den Berg says it was a new artistic challenge, but one he enjoyed doing. Books will be for sale and proceeds will benefit the children’s collection at the library. The program will be held in the Library Meeting Room.
