The 10th ranked PCM Mustangs welcome the Eddyville Blakesburg Fremont Rockets to Monroe for a Mustang homecoming tonight.
The Mustangs will look to stay undefeated in District 6 as they take on a 3-4 Rocket squad that has played up to its competitions level throughout the season. After a 16-14 loss last week to the second placed Central Lee Hawks, the Rockets look to try to spoil the Mustangs homecoming. Tonight’s game could be a soggy affair with lots of rain in the forecast. EBF will lean on their quarterback junior Tre Moore to make big plays for the offense. Moore comes in leading the Rockets through the air and on the ground with just under 1,000 yards passing and close to 500 yards rushing on the season. The Mustangs will look to get out quick and not allow the Rockets to stick around long. The Mustang offense could be slowed a little bit due to the soggy conditions so expect junior running back Wes Cummings to see plenty of action. One thing is for sure, Coach Greg Bonnett is definitely a fan of playing in the rain. The Mustangs and Rockets will kickoff from Monroe at 7:30 p.m. with Nathan Sage and Jeff Lindsay on the call via our KNIA2 stream. The Iowa State Savings Bank Radio Pregame Show will hit the air at 7 p.m.
