The Knoxville City Council will meet in regular session Monday.

The council will hold a public hearing regarding the city’s proposal to enter a general obligation corporate purpose loan agreement to potentially borrow $3,935,000. The loan is for paying the costs for constructing street, sanitary sewer, water systems, storm water drainage and sidewalk improvements as well as constructing runway and hangar improvements at the airport. The loan would also be used for equipping and improving existing municipal parks, including the installation of signage, lighting improvements, playground equipment and construction of parking, splash pad, park shelter, skate park, landscaping and drainage improvements. The council will consider the 2017 Urban Renewal Report as well as a resolution for the 2017 TIF Certification. The meeting will begin at 6:15 p.m. and will be held inside the Municipal Building Council Chambers.
