Pella Christian’s girls are hoping to continue building on their solid start out of winter break, while the boys are seeking traction against one of the best teams in the state in a conference doubleheader tonight.
The Oskaloosa Indians are coming to Eagle Lane. The Eagles girls are hoping to replicate their effort from a 66-21 win in Osky. Meanwhile, the Pella Christian boys are looking to wash the taste from their mouths of a 33-point trouncing West Marshall brought to town Monday and to break a three-game skid.
Oskaloosa’s top-ranked in 3A boys are undefeated in the Little Hawkeye Conference, and are the fourth-best team in the state at blocking shots, regardless of class.
Pella Christian’s doubleheader with Osky begins at 6:15 p.m., with pregame at 6:00 on 92.1 KRLS, kniakrls.com, and the free KRLS mobile app. Andrew Schneider and Wynne Veenstra will call the action.
