
The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team was on the air for a severe thunderstorm on the western end of a system dropping heavy rain over portions of Iowa early this morning.
Members of KNIA/KRLS staff were on the air live in Knoxville, southern Marion County, and Pella during the warning that was issued from 3:40 a.m. to 4:15 a.m. for southwestern Marion County and Southern Warren County. Brief hail was reported in some portions of both counties.
KNIA/KRLS is live on the air with severe weather action team coverage in the event of any severe thunderstorm or tornado warning for any portion of Marion County. Backup generators ensure the coverage stays on if the power goes out.
