Pella’s award winning theatre troupe Union Street Players are holding auditions for their summer production of Kiss Me, Kate.

The story features Cole Porter’s take on Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew. Leading man Fred Graham is reunited with his ex-wife, Lilli Vanessi, when the two are forced to play opposite one another in the musical adaptation. Auditions will be held at the Pella Community Center on May 15 and 17 from 6:30-9:00pm and May 19 from 1:00-4:00pm. Roles are available for those 16 years of age or older. The show dates are July 27, 28, 31 and August 3, 4 at 7:00pm and July 29 and August 5 at 2:00pm.
