Fourth of July celebrations are beginning to take place all over Marion County.
Bussey and Pleasantville will have events going on throughout the day today and tomorrow, with parades and fireworks taking place tomorrow morning and evening. THRIVE Knoxville is hosting the first annual 4th of July on the Square with a day full of activities, with the goal of keeping people in Knoxville for the holiday.Dave Garcia with THRIVE tells KNIA/KRLS News the celebrations were geared towards both adults and kids, and he’s excited to see families participate in things together in events such as the bike parade where kids and parents can decorate their bikes, wagons, or whatever they want and get to spend some time together and show off their decorations. The KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio will be in the Bussey and Pella Parades, while the Big Red Radio will be in the Pleasantville parade and on the square in Knoxville. A full schedule of all events is below, with Pella events included in a separate story.
