Pella was unable to find victory at the end of the softball regular season, falling twice in Norwalk 1-0 and 6-4 in a doubleheader makeup Tuesday night.
In game one, Warrior Ace Alyx Witt dominated the Lady Dutch bats, giving up just one hit and driving in the game’s only run for Norwalk. Kinzi Van Wyk of Pella took the hard luck loss, giving up just five hits and one run in six innings.
In game two, the Lady Dutch fell behind after the first, and tied the game in the top of the fourth, before giving up four critical runs in the bottom of the 6th to Norwalk. Van Wyk and Maddie Parks each went 2-for-4 with a double.
Pella finishes the regular season 14-19 and 6th in the Little Hawkeye Conference. They begin the playoffs Thursday at home against Grinnell, a game that can be heard live on 92.1 KRLS.
