Knoxville will play Grinnell Monday night in the class three-A District final. The Panthers and the Tigers had a great game during the season won by Knoxville on a walk-off single by Kaleb Streigle back on June 28th. Knoxville was able to get to the district final in a 5-3 win over Dallas Center-Grimes on Friday on a Ben Wallace home run in the bottom of the seventh. Grinnell is coming in following a 4-2 triumph over A-D-M on Saturday. Coach Matt Miller tells KNIA/KRLS Sports Grinnell has a solid pitching staff, that they got to see part of in that game against the Panthers back in June. Knoxville is 30-11 on the season while Grinnell is 25-10. The winner will get either Carlisle or Norwalk in the sub state in Indianola on Wednesday.
