The Top 10 countdown continues for Pleasantville sports for 2017-18 with number six.
Every senior wants to go out with a bang in their final campaign of their respective sport. That was the case for Josh Pulse this past fall, as he qualified as an individual in the class 2A state cross country meet. On October 19th in Pella the senior finished 15th at the state qualifying meet that propelled him to state where he finished 78th a week later in Fort Dodge.
Not only did Pulse get it done on the course, but off of it as well. He was one of two area runners to receive academic all-state honors. To be eligible a runner must be a senior, qualify for the state meet, have a 3.8 grade point average or better, and a 28 or higher on the ACT.
