Today we continue our countdown of the top sports stories for the 2017-2018 school year at Central College with number five.
The awards podium was crowded with members of the Dutch women’s track and field team following the pentathlon as a trio of freshman held down the top three spots at the Iowa Conference Indoor Championships on February 23rd.
Mary Gray took the top spot with 3,093 points after accumulating personal-best marks in the shot put, long jump and 800-meter run.  Runner-up Kiki Pingel of Pella piled up four career-bests to finish with 2,988 points, and Courtney Kruthoff took third with 2,988 points after sweeping the long jump and high jump.
