The Knoxville Police want to remind residents and visitors that driving a golf cart on city streets requires the vehicle to be certified and a permit obtained.
Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada tells KNIA/KRLS News during Nationals the officers won’t hesitate to take action if you are driving a golf cart on Highway 14/Lincoln St. and that is the main thing that officers will have little tolerance for, whether it is a golf cart or ATV. Chief Losada also said that as long as you have a permit, registration, and insurance you should also stay as safe as possible as there are many visitors who are not familiar with the area. The first night of the 360 Nationals presented by Great Southern Bank is this evening, while the 410 Nationals begin next Wednesday.
