Nominations can now be submitted for the 2019 Tulip Queen.
Head of the Tulip Queen Selection Committee Lori Lourens tells KNIA/KRLS News that forms are available to nominate high school seniors to be part of the Tulip Queen selection process. Forms can be submitted at the Pella HyVee, Pella Historical Society, Marion County Bank, or the Pella Fareway by Tuesday, September 25th.
The final list of nominees will be released in October and then 12 finalists will be selected by a vote from community members to perform at the Tulip Queen’s Announcement Party at Pella High School on November 10th.
Nominees must:
– be a high school senior
– be 17 years old by May 1, 2019
– have a permanent home address in the Pella School District
– live with a parent or legal guardian
– be unmarried
