It felt about as refreshing as the breeze on Eagle lane for the Pella Christian football team in their 51-18 blowout of Woodward-Academy last night, as heard live on KNIAKRLS.com.
After facing three teams ranked No. 1 in their class at one point, and having competitive quarters for the majority of non-district action, the Eagles running game racked up 307 yards and the offense scored 45 points before the halftime break.
Noah Treimer scored three times, two on the ground and once through the air, Jase Amelse ran 11 times for 71 yards and a score, Cody Boender had 62 yards on six carries, and Nathan De Bruin had a rushing score and a 42 yard field goal go through.
Pella Christian improves to 3-2 and heads to Pleasantville next Friday.
