The Pleasantville volleyball team saw their season come to a close on Thursday when they fell to Pella Christian in a class 2A regional semifinal game in three sets.

While the Eagles cruised past the Trojans in the first two sets, the Trojans made for a thrilling third set where they narrowly fell 27-25. Head Coach Joel Allman credited his team’s ability to continue to battle when their back was against the wall.

“It doesn’t matter if we are up two or down two sets, we are going to keep battling and we definitely did that here tonight.

The Trojans closed the year at 4-19 and bid farewell to eight seniors.
