The Hometown Pride program in Indianola and Warren County has made strides to work with the City of Indianola to provide that extra resource for residents to use.
City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the founding of the Hometown Pride initiative in the area has made a significant positive impact.
“I’ve been in local government for 17 years and one of the things that is so critical to the success of the community that is so critical is the partnership with civic organizations such as hometown pride. We’ve got a great staff here who cares deeply about the community, but we just don’t have the resources to be everywhere. So the folks at hometown pride really provide a valuable tool and partnership with us and the community to help keep up the positive momentum in the community.”
Hometown Pride’s goal is to enhance the community’s cultural and economic vitality, and increasing its chance for not simply survival, but growth with increased pride.
