The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to stay on top of the latest technology and training for law enforcement agencies around the country.
Sheriff Brian Vos tells KNIA News the most significant training his deputies have gone through is an active assailant training.
“The new training has just come out, and I sent two deputies attend to help set up further training for us and what they have changed from active shooter to now active assailant training. It’s not only for us at the sheriff’s office, but for dispatchers and fire department personnel as well, so it’s a combined effort to learn more.”
Vos also said that there have been many changes to active threat training over the years, and the training is adapting to the times so the sheriff’s office has to try and keep up.
