The Simpson Storm football team garnered 699 yards of total offense in their 56-7 blowout of Buena Vista University on the road Saturday afternoon in their season finale.

Cold temperatures couldn’t halt the Storm, as they scored on their first four drives to take a 28-0 lead in the first quarter, and continued to pour it on for a 48-0 halftime lead. The Storm began to run out the clock and substitute in their roster throughout the rest of the game, forcing a safety and scoring another touchdown. Cam Bunting had 254 yards on the ground to go along with a touchdown, Joe Meyer added a rushing td, and quarterback Tanner Krueger threw for five in the air to five different receivers. The Storm defense also picked off BV quarterback Cole Miller three times in the game, and allowed only 258 yards of offense, most of which came in the fourth quarter. Simpson ends their season with a 7-3 record, and tied for second place in the American Rivers Conference with Dubuque and Central.
