The Indianola Indians boys basketball team holds a talent Fort Dodge Dodger team to 45 points in a 69 to 45 win.
Indianola guards Evan Gauger and Quin Vesey each scored 19 points, with junior Tyce Johnson leading the way scoring 21 on six shots from beyond the arc as the Indians dominated from start to finish. Head coach Brett Watson tells KNIA Sports, it was a hard fought first game of the season, but he’s glad his team came out on top. Indianola improves to 1-0, and will next play on Friday hosting Norwalk in their first Little Hawkeye Conference game of the season.
