The Pella Public Library is kicking off another season of five Culture Nights this upcoming winter and spring, beginning with Paraguay.
Ana Martinez is a Spanish immersion teacher at Pella Christian Grade School and will be the first presenter. Besides growing up in Paraguay, Ana worked for the Embassy of Paraguay in Washington D.C. for 6 years. She will talk about the biggest dam and aquifer in the world, both located in the country, and present about geography, customs, food and politics as well. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions and will be able to taste traditional food as well.
Culture Night: Paraguay will take place at 7 p.m. on Monday, January 14th in Room 206 of the Pella Community Center. The program is free and open to the public.
