Two new members were inducted into the Indianola High School Jim Garrison Hall of Fame Friday evening; Brianna Chaplin as the Athletic Achievement recipient and Ken Beane as the Athletic Staff Achievement recipient.

Chaplin was a standout softball player, earning 1st team all-conference honors four times, batted .362 with 20 career home runs, and earned a class 4A state title in 2012, and a 3rd place finish in 2013. Beane was a teacher and coach in the Indianola School District for 38 years for both boys and girls basketball, with his teams making the state tournament 13 times, state runner-up once, and one state championship. Induction into the Jim Garrison Hall of Fame is the highest honor the athletic department can bestow upon an individual.
