The Pella School Board will consider increasing the instructional support levy from eight to ten percent at their meeting Monday.

The measure is on the table as a way to adjust the general fund spending authority to avoid potential cuts in the upcoming fiscal years. According to Superintendent Greg Ebeling, the move would be revenue neutral, as they would adjust the rest of the school’s property tax to ensure it doesn’t increase. At a work session, council will also review the district’s Every Student Succeeds Act performance profiles at each building, and take a look at the district’s building survey results of the work climate in the schools. Ebeling will also receive his annual evaluation.

The Pella School Board meeting begins Monday at 4:30 p.m. in the Pella High School Library.
