The Indianola boys track and field team placed second in the Indian Relays at Indianola High School Thursday with 93 points. Waukee took home the top place with 234 points.

Top finishers for the Indians include Eric Baldus and CJ Johnson finished 3rd and 4th respectively in the 800m, Carter Erickson placing 2nd in the 110m hurdles, and the Indians holding the top four spots in the high jump. Matt McKnight took home 1st, Grant Hixson 2nd, Max Cleveland 3rd, and Blake Kennedy 4th. Kolby Kolarik took home the top long jump for the Indians and the meet, and the Indians Shuttle Hurdle and Distance Medley relay teams both finished in 2nd.

The Indians girls track and field team took a smaller squad to the Ankeny Hawkettes Invitational Thursday. Top finishes included Lauren Blake finishing 3rd in the high jump at 4-10 and Avery Howe getting a personal record in the 100 hurdles at 17.46. The Indians compete at WDM Valley tomorrow.

Indianola Girls Tennis fell to Pella Christian in Little Hawkeye Conference action 8-2 Thursday evening in Pella. Picking up wins for the Indians were Selia Becker at #5 singles winning 7-6, 4-6, 1-0 in tiebreaker, and Allison Coffey at #6 singles 6-3, 6-4. Paige Bily and Katelyn Thesson won at #2 doubles 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 in tiebreaker action. The Indians are now 1-1 on the season, and will next compete at the Boone Invitational today.
