The Indianola Public Library Kickoff to Summer Block Party is tomorrow evening, celebrating the end of the school year and the beginning of the summer programs at the library. Alison Brown with the library tells KNIA News the party will have food trucks, live music, and lawn games, and the biggest goal of the event is to attract members of the community who don’t use the library.

“We want everyone here to know what we can do. We have great participation from the kids of the area taking advantage of all of our activities and programs, and we have a lot of the older folk who come in here to interact and learn. What we want is that young adult range to come and use the library, or even the parents of the young kids, to know what we provide and that we have stuff for them too.”

The Kickoff to Summer Block Party is tomorrow evening from 6-8pm, with everyone invited.
