The PCM softball squad’s comeback attempt fell short in a 3-1 loss to North Polk on Wednesday. The Comets took and early 3-0 lead in the second inning and allowed the Mustangs only three hits all game. Paige Steenhoek took the loss allowing ten hits, a walk and two strikeouts. The Mustangs are back on the diamond Saturday at the Bondurant-Farrar Invitational.
