
Three convicted felons were arrested Tuesday following a report of shots fired in the 1100 block of McGregor Dr in Knoxville. According to court documents just after midnight Tuesday officers responded to a call for a report of people shooting guns off the roadway and into the water in the 1100 block of McGregor Drive. Upon arrival officers identified 60-year-old Daniel Pope, 20-year-old Larissa Golden and 31-year-old Ronald Kope, all convicted felons, as the persons involved.
During the investigation officers located a loaded .22 caliber rifle as well as a .22 caliber revolver. Officers also located .22 caliber ammunition in the vehicle driven by Pope as well as in Pope’s possession. Golden admitted to possessing the .22 caliber rifle and using it to shoot snakes and frogs. A search of the vehicle also found a hypodermic syringes that Kope advised officers he had used to inject methamphetamine. One of the syringes was filled with 40ml of a liquid substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine. One gram of methamphetamine was also found in the vehicle.
Pope was arrested and charged with possession of weapons by a felon a class D felony, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance both serious misdemeanors. Golden was charged with possession of weapons by a felon a class D felony and Kope was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance both serious misdemeanors.
