The Twin Cedars Softball Squad was known for its defense and pitching. However, the Sabers were also one of the better hitting teams in the area. The Sabers’ 339 team batting average was good enough to put them in the top 20 in the state in class 1A. Coach Zack Dunkin tells KRLS Sports in some cases during the season the bottom of the order was key in several late season wins. Dunkin adds the Sabers’ second round class 1A regional against Baxter, the bottom of the order stepped up in a big way to get timely hits to win the game. Twin Cedars finished 29-9 on the season.
